2025 Tarnanthi Transport Subsidy Booking Information
Congratulations on your successful application! We look forward to welcoming you and your students to the Gallery in term 4 to visit Tarnanthi.
We will be processing a high number of transport subsidy booking requests. We ask that you consider your dates carefully before completing the below form to minimise changes after a booking has been made. Please check with your leadership team and your school calendar for other events at your site that may impact your visit.
In the booking request form you will be offered complimentary options for your visit, these include:
- Guided/Self-guided visits to Tarnanthi. Please note Guides cannot be guaranteed. One guide can cater for up to 15 students at a time (1 hour).
- The Studio. This is a free making space responding to the work of Banjiyma artist Layne Dhu-Dickie (subject to availability, 1 hour)
- Workshop with Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara artist Elizabeth Close for secondary students only (Limited places, subject to availability, 1 hour)
If you are bringing more than 60 students on one day we recommend dividing your group over three activities. For example, The Studio, tour of Tarnanthi and a third option from the student programs list (seasonal and year-round programs page below). Please note there may be an additional cost for some of these programs. You can also opt for the third option to be a self-guided tour of the permanent collection, which is free.
Checklist - you will also need to enter:
- The total number of students and supporting adults
- The total number of First Nations students
- Year level
- Any access requirements
- Contact mobile number of the organising teacher
- Indication of photography approval
Our Education Support Officer will confirm your visit within three weeks from receipt of your date request.
Complimentary Tarnanthi Resource Pack
When you visit the Gallery, you will be able to collect your Tarnanthi Resource Pack which will include a copy of the Tarnanthi catalogue, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art in the Classroom volume 2 and Tarnanthi: Make and Create.

Transport to AGSA
You are responsible for booking transport. Payment for transport is to be paid by your school. Reimbursement by AGSA will occur post-visit upon completion of your feedback form.

Once you have visited the Gallery, you will be required to complete our feedback form before we can process your invoice. Have your school raise an invoice for the agreed amount GST inclusive, and send this to education@artgallery.sa.gov.au. You can also attach this invoice to the evaluation form.
We would love to see what your students get up to while at the Gallery, or post visit in their classrooms so we can share these on our Online Student Gallery, social media, website and for reporting purposes. Please send photographs of student work responses to: education@artgallery.sa.gov.au. You can also tag @agsa.education on Instagram or Facebook.
