Get to know AGSA’s collection this year, brush up on your analysis and interpretation skills and discover alternative ways to engage your students with works of art with a series of 6 online workshops.

Start with the art workshops will be strategies based, focused on the content descriptors of the Australian Curriculum:

- Getting started planning lessons, Wednesday 14 February, 3.45pm – 5:30pm

- Developing practices and skills: Exploring and responding, Wednesday 17 April, 9.30am -11.30am

- Creating and Making, Wednesday 17 July, 9.30am -11.30am

AGSA’s collection in context workshops will be content based, focusing on themes drawn out from AGSA’s Collection

- Australian History and truth telling, Thursday 22 February, 3.45pm – 5:30pm

- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art, Tuesday 28 May, 3.45pm – 5:30pm

- Women artists, Friday 21 June, 3.45pm – 5:30pm

We understand that these dates and times may not suit all, however the presentations will be recorded and available post event. There will be some pre-workshop preparation and post workshop learning so you will receive a PD certificate for 2hours per session. See below for details about each session.

This totals up to 12 hours of professional development.
