Student Responses to Radical Textiles
Although Radical Textiles may be over, we know some teachers are still using this exhibition as inspiration for their classroom regardless if they visited the show with their students. A lot of the works of art that featured in Radical Textiles are also in AGSA's permanent collection and so our education resources continue to provide opportunities for students and teachers to connect with these works of art.
Did you visit Radical Textiles? Or did you use our resources in your classroom? We would love to see student responses to the exhibition and see this page grow.
If you have student work to share with us, please see submission guidelines on our website and email your students’ work to education@artgallery.sa.gov.au
Community Collaborative Quilt
AGSA received a total of 480 submissions which were combined for display at Start in August (a free children and families day held on the first Sunday of every month), as a celebration for SALA (South Australian Living Artist Festival).
This initiative provided students with an opportunity to have a voice – to be active citizens (long term), develop a sense of identity and collaborate with peers and the wider community.
