Mark making inspired by Kaantju/Umpila artist Naomi Hobson

The Year 2 students at Christian Brothers College have been inspired by the works of Southern Kaantju/Umpila artist Naomi Hobson. Hobsons' works of art showcase her deep relationship with her ancestors, traditional lands and direct surroundings.

Like Hobson, the students chose a location that held significance to them and sought to represent this through colour and mark making. They used acrylic paint and oil pastels to create their abstract work of art.
