Tarnanthi - GROUNDswell

GROUNDswell is Australian Dance Theatre’s new choreographic development program, providing exceptional First Nations choreographers with opportunities to further their practice and develop new work on ADT’s company artists, within a company setting.

In its first edition, a multi-disciplinary and multi-dimensional First Nations artist has been invited to work with ADT’s company artists on Kaurna Yerta, developing new ideas in the ADT studio. The first GROUNDswell edition culminates in this work-in-development showing at ADT and an in-conversation between the artist and ADT’s Artistic Director, Wiradjuri man Daniel Riley.

GROUNDswell is supported by Tarnanthi Festival of Contemporary Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art and the Canny Quine Foundation.
