As the first artist in residence at the CSIRO’s Waite campus, Ngarrindjeri and Narungga artist Cedric Varcoe has created a mural that brings Aboriginal knowledge, thought and culture into the workplace of scientists examining soil and water sustainability.

The mural is the result of a collaboration between CSIRO and Guildhouse to present the CSIRO Waite Campus Artist in Residence program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists. The project is intended to facilitate meaningful cross-cultural exchange between artists and scientists.
