Tarnanthi Exhibition
Located within the Adelaide Botanic Garden, Nganmarra: the container of life offers an immersive installation of woven forms in the Santos Museum of Economic Botany.
The exhibition asks audiences to reflect on the cultural, economic and sacred values of the plant kingdom and highlights the extraordinary talents of senior women artists from Bula’bula Arts in Ramingining, north-east Arnhnem Land. Through fibre, function and ceremony the works of Nganmarra: the container of life represents the creation, nurturing and sustenance of life.
Nganmarra: the container of life is curated by Sara White, Ben Wallace and Tony Kanellos.
