Volunteer Gallery Guide
Have you always had an interest in art? Are you a life long learner?
We are currently recruiting for the 2026/2027 Gallery Guide Training Program.
What's involved?
The training program will occur on every Tuesday, 10am - 3pm at AGSA during South Australian school terms, commencing 13 October 2026.
Following a 12 month training program, you must agree to volunteer as a Gallery Guide for at least two years, giving a minimum of four tours per month to a range of audiences, including families and school students. You must also commit to regularly attending 'Continuing Education' sessions held on Tuesdays from 10am to 12pm.
What do you need?
A love of art, good communication skills and a strong desire to engage with diverse visitors of all ages from around the world with a range of historical and contemporary works of art.
Trainees must be over 18 years of age and will be asked to acquire a Working With Children Check from the Department of Human Services before commencing training.

Please note applying to be a Gallery Guide is subject to an interview and panel selection process and therefore does guarantee entry into the training program.
