Stitch and Resist Collaborative Textile Project
Connect with our community and share your square
As a nod to the collaborative nature of many of the works in Radical Textiles, AGSA Education and Public Programs are collecting contributions for a large collaborative piece of our own – a fabric quilt that brings together the voices of South Australian young people today.
Activity
Stitch a word or symbol onto a square of fabric that represents a social or environmental cause or issue that you are passionate about.
Please ensure that your name and contact details are written on the reverse side of your square.
Size of each square maximum of 20cm x 20cm.
We would love to see whole classes or even entire schools to engage in this project!
The fabric squares will be joined together for display at AGSA during SALA and will be launched as part of Start at the Gallery on 3 August 2025.
Send your stitching project to AGSA Education by 28 April 2025.
For more information, please contact education@artgallery.sa.gov.au
Please note:
- Fabric squares will not be returned to contributors.
- Please do not add natural materials/leaves/flowers etc to the squares.
