End of Year Event: Exclusive for Educators

Celebrate the end of the school year with colleagues at an exclusive after‑hours educator event at the Art Gallery of South Australia.
Enjoy first access to Dressed up: Fashion & Photography 1850–1920, an exhibition exploring how fashion and photography shaped identity, status and self‑presentation during a time of profound social and technological change. The evening will include curator insights, informal activities and opportunities to connect.
Teachers will also discover AGSA’s 2027 education offerings, including upcoming exhibitions, school excursions, outreach programs and professional learning opportunities across year levels and curriculum areas.

Dressed up: Fashion & Photography 1850–1920 will run until 21 March so is the ideal Term 1 Excursion for Art, Design, History and Civics and Citizenship curriculum areas.
Competition: Dress for the Lens
Celebrate the exhibition by dressing up in the spirit of 1850–1920, when fashion met photography for the first time. Channel a studio sitter, a fashionable flâneur, a bold reformer or invent your own look inspired by the era’s silhouettes, textures and photographic styles.
No need for a museum‑perfect costume — creativity, storytelling and personal flair are what count. One standout look will win a special prize on the night.
