Ceduna, SA

Arts Ceduna sells artwork on behalf of at least 136 artists in the Far West region of South Australia. Since opening in 2001, it has provided economic and artistic development opportunities to artists in Ceduna and communities such as Oak Valley, Yalata, Scotdesco and Koonibba. Initiatives and services to artists include the provision of high-quality materials, training, residencies and safe working environments and facilities that encourage artists to produce, develop, promote and sell Aboriginal visual arts.

The artists’ work is strongly influenced by their diverse cultural environment of land, sea and desert – from the vast plains of the Nullarbor to the west, virgin mallee and spinifex country to the north, the pristine waters of the Great Australian Bight to the south and ancient rock formations such as the Gawler Ranges to the east.

In the Far West of South Australia, the diverse cultural environment of land, sea and desert forms a strong influence in the work of artists represented by Arts Ceduna.
