The APY Art Centre Collective’s APY Adelaide Gallery and Studio provides an important link between the city and the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands of northern South Australia by supporting Anangu who have had to relocate to Adelaide for medical treatment or family support. The Adelaide studio provides a central meeting place for members of the Anangu community to come together and for artists to continue their creative practice while away from country. APY Adelaide Gallery and Studio, established in May 2019, is an Aboriginal-owned and not-for-profit enterprise providing support to connect family, community and culture while supporting access to vital and independent income.
