Members Yield Strength Slow Down Tour
Mon 25 May, 10.30am & 12.30pm
$10 for AGSA Members $15 for Guests
Slow down with artist Zoe Butters for an interactive tour of the 2026 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art: Yield Strength, and experience the exhibition from a fresh perspective before it closes on 8 June 2026. Rather than moving quickly from work to work, this tour invites audiences to engage more deeply with Biennial works and ideas through sensory experiences, tactile objects and close looking, with a focus on materiality and the senses. It is a different way into the exhibition: less about absorbing information at speed and more about noticing how artworks are made, how materials behave, and how meaning can be carried through texture, tension, form and physical presence. As Yield Strength explores the limits, elasticity and expressive potential of materials, this tour offers members a chance to experience those themes in a more embodied and interactive way.
With the Biennial presented across AGSA, the Adelaide Botanic Garden and Samstag Museum of Art from 27 February to 8 June 2026, this is a valuable opportunity to revisit the exhibition with new insight and take in a distinctive member experience before it closes.
Following the tour, members are invited to enjoy a light morning tea - a chance to continue the conversation, ask questions, and connect with fellow members.
Places are limited, book early to secure your spot.
The 10.30am tour is sold out. Please use the booking link to register for the 12.30pm tour.
