Callum McGrath
Callum McGrath’s installation William & John blurs and questions the lines between fact and fiction in print media. William & John is a twelve-page printed newspaper comprised of sardonic adverts and queer news stories written by the artist with assistance from Large Language Models like ChatGPT. William & John’s title is shared with one of Australia’s first gay magazines published between 1972 and 1973, when homosexuality was still a criminal act nationwide. Visitors are invited to participate in the realisation of McGrath’s work by taking a copy of the newspaper home with them.
