Morris & Co | An Adelaide Obsession

Carrick Hill is set to showcase South Australia's deep admiration for Morris & Co. This exhibition celebrates the artistry, skill, and enthusiasm of the women of the Barr Smith family, exploring the intimate nature of Morris & Co. in the home. Featuring a collection of rarely seen objects from the Carrick Hill archive, AGSA, and private collections, this exhibition demonstrates Adelaide’s love for the Arts & Crafts movement and its enduring legacy.

Co-founded by William Morris, one of the most prolific and well-known designers of the nineteenth century, Morris & Co. is a furnishings and decorative arts manufacturer and retailer famous for its focus on handmade craftsmanship.
