South Australian Living Artists Festival.

In this collaboration between Guildhouse and the Art Gallery of South Australia, Adelaide-based artist Honor Freeman 'ghosts' the collection. Working primarily in porcelain, Freeman harnesses the mimetic qualities of clay through the magic of slip casting whereby porcelain casts echo original objects. Liquid slip becomes solid, thereby becoming a memory of a past form - a ghost object.

As artist in residence, Freeman explores the residual stories (real and imagined) that orbit around the collection in objects of ritual, mourning and loss.

The Collections Project exhibition is presented during the 2019 South Australian Living Artists Festival.
