Judith Wright
Judith Wright (b.1945, Brisbane) is a multidisciplinary artist creating works about love, loss and the impermanence of life. Wright began her career as a dancer for the Australian Ballet, before devoting herself to a range of media including painting, drawing, video, sculpture and installation. Wright’s experience as a dancer equipped her with a sensitivity to the psychological relationships between bodies in space and a theatrical use of props and lighting, seen throughout her practice.
