Free your mind in this drop-in weaving workshop to celebrate the final day of Tarnanthi: Open Hands.
Something happens when your hands are making. Things open up inside you and the mind is freed to make connections. Busy hands enable my thinking to happen.
Join our open circle weaving workshop, conducted by South Australian Ngarrindjeri artist Sonya Rankine. Lakun Mara, meaning 'weaving hand' in Ngarrindjeri, is Sonya’s passion as she focuses on the cultural revival and maintenance of traditional Ngarrindieri weaving and cultural practices.
Visitors are welcome to join the circle and learn this traditional weaving technique. All materials are supplied and no bookings required.
