It's spooky season! What strange things are lurking in the darkness? Come dressed as something strange, spooky, mysterious or magical.

✒️Artist Workshop with Billie Justice Thomson

Put yourself out of your comfort zone and join Billie for a fun drawing activity. Using ink and paper, take part in a series of timed drawing exercises that encourage you to work quickly, loosen up, and create something a little unexpected.

🫟Artist Workshop with Arlon Hall

Head outside under the marquee and join Arlon for an interactive art experience filled with painting, drawing and colourful lights. Get creative with oil slicks, play with light and colour, and dive into the madness of this immersive space.

☁️ Adelaide Design Week: soft

Step inside soft, a special exhibition curated by Andy TT and Calum Hurley for Adelaide Design Week. Packed with creative objects, artworks and design, this immersive space invites you to slow down, get curious and see how design shapes the world around us.

You can find this exhibition in the Donors Lounge, which is accessed via the outside courtyard.

Capacity is limited and entry will be in small groups.

Visit the Northern Sound System portable production studio and open mic space. Pop on some headphones and have a go at making a beat or sign up to perform in our open mic space - microphone, acoustic guitar and karaoke provided.

📖 Spoken Word SA

Feeling poetic? Create giant floor poems using found words and display them throughout the gallery, or uncover hidden verses by transforming old book pages into blackout poetry. There are no rules here, just creativity and experimentation.

The team from Spoken Word SA will be on hand to chat about poetry slams, spoken word, and Adelaide's open mic poetry scene.

🧠 Quiet Space with Headspace

Headspace will host a low-sensory space where you can relax, recharge, and focus on looking after your brain. Drop in for colouring, board games, books, fidget activities, resources and giveaways, all designed to support wellbeing in a calm and welcoming environment.

🌈 Feast Festival

Feast Festival brings Eddie Normington, our 2026 front cover artist, for a drop-in pin and badge making table. Design your own pronoun pin, pick a ready-made one, or draw something that is entirely you, and we will press it into a badge you can wear out the door. Eddie will be drawing alongside you all night. Whether you are trying a pronoun on for the first time or have known for years, there is a pin here for you and nobody asks questions. Come say hi and ask us about Feast, Adelaide's LGBTQIA+ Arts and Cultural Festival, running 1 to 22 November.

⭐ The Commissioner for Children and Young People

Wish Upon a Starry Night- add some whimsy to your night! Join the CCYP team to dream out loud and make some magic together. Contribute to our collaborative wish wall installation and/or craft yourself a wand so you can take the magic home. Our little corner of the takeover is a space for connection and conversation over craft where you can explore and express your wishes for the future - or just create the ultimate bedazzled wand to sprinkle some whimsy on your night!
