Take a free tour through Picasso: The Vollard Suite, and hear from Meaghan Morris, Professor of Gender and Cultural Studies at the University of Sydney, as she delivers a talk on the impact of the #MeToo movement and the contemporary reception of Picasso’s practice.

Enjoy live music by Les Sirènes, who will perform a mix of French and Flamenco inspired tunes in celebration of our First Friday theme, Grabbing the bull by the horns: experiencing Picasso’s Vollard Suite.

Forum: Picasso and #metoo
Join Maria Zagala, Associate Curator Prints, Drawings and Photographs and Professor Meaghan Morris from the Department of Cultural and Gender Studies at the University of Sydney as they reflect on Picasso’s practice in the context of the #metoo movement. The discussion begins with an iconographic reading of some of Picasso’s prints in the Vollard Suite presented by Emerita Professor Memory Holloway, Department of Art History at the University of Massachusetts.
