- Charles I (1625-1649) copper turner or half groat (two pence), lozenge mint mark both sides. Obverse: Crowned "CR" with legend: "CAR D G SCOT ANG FRA ET HIB R" (Charles by the grace of God King of Scotland England France and Ireland). Reverse: Thistle with legend: "NEMO ME IMPVNE LACESSET" (No one shall hurt me with impunity).
