The Balnaves Adelaide Biennial Internship provides an opportunity for emerging visual arts, art history or arts administration professionals to work on the 2026 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art: Yield Strength.

Supported by The Balnaves Foundation, the internship is designed to provide the successful candidate with the knowledge, skills and experience to support the advancement of the Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art, and promote arts project management as a career pathway.

Working with the AGSA team, the Balnaves Adelaide Biennial Intern will receive hands-on practical experience in the lead up to and delivery of the longest-running survey of contemporary Australian art, and one of AGSA’s pillar artistic programs.

An all-inclusive stipend of $10,000 applies. The internship will commence in late January 2026, and AGSA will negotiate by mutual agreement the duration and weekly hours with the successful candidate.
