Turralayinthi Yarta is a photographic series where I walked along the Kaurna boundary line. The historical Kaurna boundary line coincides with the contemporary Hans Heysen Trail.
I wanted to use the opportunity to both walk along and connect with Karna Yarta, but it was also an opportunity to explore our relationship with our Nunga bordering neighbours such as Ngarrindjeri to the south, Peramangk to the southeast, Ngadjuri to the northeast and Nukunu to the north.
I represented our relationship that we have with our neighbours through the cultural designs that are painted over the landscape. I used different Kaurna designs and designs of our neighbours to represent our different communities.
