Bringing together the worlds of art, design and fashion, students were guided through a series of drawing and making exercises culminating in an imaginative piece of wearable art. The historical, conceptual and technical aspects of clothing as art were explored with reference to the Gallery’s collection and innovative, contemporary fashion and costume design.

Students created exaggerated collars cuffs and capes by pushing their form and function.
