Milton Moon Educator Briefing and workshop
Sat 20 May 2023
$50 TRT or pre-service, $60 member, $70 non-member
Join Rebecca Evans, Curator of Decorative Arts and Design, as she introduces you to the life and career of the most important Australian potters of the twentieth and early twenty first centuries, Milton Moon AM (1926-2019).
For the first time, this exhibition contextualises Moon’s practice within the wider story of Australian art. It celebrates his highly original and accomplished approach to ceramics and examines the influence of Australian modernism, the Australian landscape and Japanese culture on his pots, as well as introducing his lesser-known work in painting and drawing.
Following the talk, take part in a hands-on workshop with South Australian artist, Gus Clutterbuck.
