Instructions and conditions

Photo entry can be vertical or horizontal and submitted as a digital file saved as a JPG no larger than 5 megabytes in file size.

If you are sending photos where children's faces are visible, please ensure you have obtained the necessary approvals from parents, caregivers and your school. Images that are submitted will appear on our website and may feature on our social media platforms, catalogues or publications.

If privacy and permissions are a concern, we welcome photographs of backs of heads. If you have an entire unit of work to share with us with multiple student examples we encourage you to make a submission to our Online Student Gallery.

Submissions must include

  • Name of school
  • Your contact details including school email address
  • Year level
  • Student's first name or a pseudo name
  • Student comments/quotes
  • High quality images of student work. Images must be clear and in focus. You may attach photos/videos in an email or send us a Dropbox link for us to download large files.

Entries can be submitted anytime throughout the year.

Online exhibition will evolve as we receive entries.

Terms and Conditions

Images that are deemed not to belong to or be created by the entrant will NOT be eligible.

Photographs that are inappropriate are not permitted.

Entrants grant the Gallery non-exclusive rights to reproduce the images in material form, to photograph, publish and/or communicate it to the public for the following project-related purposes, and anything incidental to such purposes, by the Gallery, its program partners and sponsors: marketing, publicity, educational and publication uses for the Gallery, the competition and its exhibition in all media, including but not limited to electronic/digital, broadcasting and print media in perpetuity..

Entrants will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

Entrants will be added to Art Gallery of South Australia's enews.
