Year 3 Mark Making - Linden Park Primary School

Year 3 students at Linden Park Primary School enjoyed exploring the work of Betty Muffler and responding to her work in a culturally appropriate and meaningful way. Muffler’s work depictsTjukurpa (ancestral creation story) and healing sites, places she has a connection to.

Using this concept as a starting point, the students were asked to think of a place they feel connected to and create a line and pattern work of art that captured the essence of this place. Using a coloured paper circles for their background, students reflected on their holidays, with many depicting seascapes and landscapes.
